Emily + Carl: Wedding

Emily and Carl had a beautiful small wedding in late October. They invited their closest family and friends to share the day with them at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Michigan. We felt truly honored to be a part of such an intimate celebration.

The ladies at Panache Salon (location and phone number here) did a great job with hair and makeup. They made the whole morning relaxed and fun, complete with pastries for breakfast and a personalized music playlist.

As you can see, Emily loved her hair!

Jumbo chess while waiting for the girls...

They wrote their own beautiful vows. There were only a few dry eyes in the room. In their vows, the first dance--throughout the whole day--the way they looked at each other was filled with a sincerity that showed how they felt and understood the strength of their love for one another.

Our favorite, during the first dance.

One final rendition of "Hey Jude" before goodbyes...

Emily and Carl, we so enjoyed being a part of your wedding day and seeing your love for each other. Thanks for making us feel so warmly welcomed in the midst of your family and friends.

The first shot of her looking in the mirror is great! She is very expressive :)

Once again I'm left speechless after looking at your photos. A few of my favorites - the one with the steam coming off the curling iron (that's just cool!), the shot from the ground of her dress with the train swirling out, their first dance, the shot past the candle of the intimate wedding setting...I could go on and on. :) PS - We've been getting SO many compliments on our engagement pictures. Several people have told us that they are the best pictures they've ever seen. God has truly blessed you two.
